The sporty one
From the Kronberg valley station, you hike past the Chlepfhütte, then in the direction of the Gallishütte to the Berggasthaus Scheidegg. After the Berggasthaus Scheidegg, the St. Jakob chapel invites you to recharge your batteries. The last stage takes you to the summit of the Kronberg.
The classic among the hikes
From Jakobsbad, an idyllic path leads you across green meadows to the Gallishütte. The hike continues along a gravel path and over asphalt to the Chlepfhütte. The Scheidegg mountain inn offers refreshments on request. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views over hills and forests as far as Lake Constance. The route continues uphill along the ridge over hill and dale until you reach the summit of Kronberg at 1,663 m above sea level. Here you can marvel at the Säntis chain with Ebenalp, Schäfler, Altenalp towers, Öhrli and Säntis.
Tip
Rent a puzzle path set at the valley or mountain station and try to unravel the mystery of Arnika and Jacobi
