Emotion Trumps Strength

You slide the curling stone across the ice and try to get as close as possible to the daube, the small target on the ice. Sound easy? Just wait until your perfect shot gets knocked off course by the next stone. That’s when the cheering, the technical talk, and the laughter really kick in.

Whether it’s a company outing, team event, Christmas dinner, club night, bachelor party, or family celebration: Everyone can join in on the curling fun—from the athletic to the laid-back. We’ll start by showing you how to hold and slide the stone properly. Then the rink is all yours, and at the end, we’ll crown the winners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need any prior experience to play curling?

No. You'll receive a personal briefing at the start, and after that, anyone can join in.

How many people can participate in the curling game?

Up to 12 people per session. If there are more of you, please contact us—we'll work together to find the right solution.

Does the curling game take place regardless of the weather?

Yes. The curling rink is covered, so you can play even when the weather is mild. Be sure to dress warmly and wear non-slip winter shoes.

What is the difference between ice stock and curling?

In Eisstock, you push a stick with a handle; in curling, you slide a granite stone. There’s no sweeping in Eisstock—only your shot counts. We offer Eisstock at Kronberg.

How do we get there?

Take the train to the Jakobsbad stop on the Appenzeller Bahnen line; it’s right next to the valley station. If you’re driving, park in the paid parking lots in Jakobsbad. Address: St. Josefstrasse 2, 9108 Jakobsbad.
