Kronberg AG Strengthens Its Position as a Year-Round Destination
At its Annual General Meeting, Kronberg AG looked back on a successful 2025 fiscal year. Approximately 530 shareholders attended the meeting at the Gonten Multipurpose Hall and approved all proposals put forward by the Board of Directors. Thomas Bischofberger, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the entire Board of Directors were re-elected for another term.
Despite challenging conditions caused by the weather, Kronberg AG once again achieved record revenue of CHF 6.76 million in the 2025 fiscal year. At the same time, the company made targeted investments in sales, digitalization, and infrastructure to further drive long-term growth. Operating profit (EBITDA) amounted to CHF 925,000, a significant increase over the previous year. The equity ratio remained stable at 39 percent. “The figures confirm that we are successfully developing as a year-round destination. At the same time, our investments are laying the foundation for future growth, especially outside the peak season,” explained Thomas Bischofberger, Chairman of the Board of Directors, at the Annual General Meeting.
Focus on future investments and new offerings
The long-term “Kronberg 2040” strategy remains at the heart of the company’s strategic development. During the past fiscal year, the company focused on expanding its sales, digitalization, and group offerings. With the introduction of a new ERP and CRM platform, as well as the reorganization of sales and marketing, Kronberg AG laid the groundwork for data-driven management and further growth. Product development was also further advanced. The zipline-park fairy-tale-world performed particularly well, with the latter recording significantly more guests, thanks in large part to new attractions such as the Ball Park. At the same time, new group offerings for companies and clubs were successfully launched.
Valley restaurant as a key infrastructure project
The expansion of the valley restaurant remains a key project for the coming months. The start of construction in early 2026 marked a significant milestone. The modernized valley restaurant is scheduled to open in phases starting in early summer 2026 and will provide additional capacity as well as new opportunities for group and year-round offerings. While investments in infrastructure, organization, and technical upgrades weighed on the annual results, they strengthen the company’s long-term competitiveness. Thanks to solid cash flow, additional debt was reduced at the same time.
Board of Directors Confirmed
The Annual General Meeting approved all proposals submitted by the Board of Directors. Board Chairman Thomas Bischofberger and the incumbent Board members Sabrina Huber (Vice Chair), Evelyne Gmünder, Stephan Rusch, Hansjürg Freund, and Ruedi Ulmann were re-elected for another term. The next Annual General Meeting of Kronberg AG will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2027.
Outlook for 2026: Opening of the Valley Restaurant and Children’s Concert at Jakobsbad
A major infrastructure project at Kronberg will begin in 2026 with the renovation of the valley restaurant. Construction is set to start in January, with a phased reopening planned for early summer. The modernized valley restaurant will particularly enhance the year-round offerings, create additional capacity, and sustainably improve both the guest experience and operational processes.
Another special highlight of the event program is a children’s concert featuring Marius & the Jagdkapelle on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Jakobsbad, which is specifically designed to appeal to families and further expands the offerings for younger guests. In this way, Kronberg reinforces its position as a versatile destination for all generations. For more information on events at Kronberg: www.kronberg.ch/events.
