The classic
From Kronberg, hike along the ridge towards Scheidegg. Before the Scheidegg mountain inn, the St. Jakob chapel invites you to recharge your batteries. Here you have the option of continuing along the power trail or hiking down to the Scheidegg mountain inn. From there, continue straight ahead. The path leads you down the forest road to the Chlepfhütte and then towards the Gallishütte. After the Ros, there is a small section of forest before you arrive back in Jakobsbad.
The classic among the hikes
At 1,663 m above sea level, you can marvel at the Säntis chain with Ebenalp, Schäfler, Altenalptürme, Öhrli and Säntis. On the ridge, you descend over hill and dale with breathtaking views over hills and forests as far as Lake Constance. The Scheidegg mountain inn offers refreshments on request. The route continues along a gravel path and over asphalt to the Chlepfhütte. An idyllic path leads you further across green meadows to the Kronberg valley station.
Tip
Rent a puzzle path set at the valley or mountain station and try to unravel the mystery of Arnika and Jacobi
